I, Mara Enciu Garrett, am originally from Romania. My background is in education and training adults, particularly around subjects related to domestic violence and supporting survivors of abuse.

I believe that change begins with educating ourselves and engaging with difficult issues in order to learn, empathize, and support others, especially underserved communities near home and in other areas of the world.
